Caves & Cabs

Caves & Cabs

We call them our Specialty Tours because they are not like the custom tours that we “personalize” according to our clients’ responses to our Wine Lover’s Personalization Tour. Rather they are focused primarily on a client’s favorite varietal wines.

With few exceptions, most wineries that focus on a specific varietal and wine also offer other excellent wines that they produce and are also proud of…and of course you may experience those tasting options too!

This Cave & Cabs Specialty Tour includes 4 or 5 night accommodation at a 4+ or 5 Star hotel resort, 5 Star and Michelin-starred dinner dining experiences and lunches that include at least one or two multi-course wine and gourmet tapas pairing and may also include a winery picnic depending on season and weather, at least one artisan visit (cheese, chocolate, etc.), and up to 4 wine tasting per day from the options below as well as possible inclusion of one or more wineries not on our list that you wish to discover. Plus of course 5 days with guidance from your private wine expert guide-chauffeur and his luxury vehicle.

Cabernet Sauvignon Wineries: With over 400 wineries in Napa alone, this is but a small list of wineries where our clients have discovered great cabs (and other reds). Your choices could be made from these Napa wineries: Pine Ridge, Beaulieu, Louis Martini, Parallel, Caymus, Silver Oak, Silverado, Chateaus Montelena, Duckhorn, Cakebread, Stag’s Leap, Paraduxx, Mayacamus, Joseph Phelps, Charles Krug, Cardinale, Mondavi “To Kalon”, Trefethen, Hall, Far Niente, Blankiet Estate, Signorello, Patland Estate and Chappelet.

Sonoma Cabs: Choose from Jordan, Medlock Ames, Ferrari-Carano, Coppola, Hawkes Estate, Ruth’s Vineyard BR Cohn, Chateau St Jean, St Francis, Sebastiani, Arrowood, Clos du Bois, Rodney Strong, Stonestreet, and Benziger.

NOTE: Of course, if open to the public, we can include other wineries in both Napa and Sonoma not listed here but a favorite that you’d like to learn more about.

Final cost per person is dependent on season of travel, number of travelers, hotel choice, dining choice, choice of tours and wineries selected for sampling.
